Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
The burning eventually goes away completely but this time I'm not going to stop drinking it as it did come back about a month later.
Are you still drinking flaxseed extract? How are you feeling? Do you need to drink a liter of this stuff a day to feel any difference? Do you drink any water at all? I'm getting desperate, Nexium/sucralfate that I'm taking helps only half way. Did anyone else try this home made remedy?
Thank you for this info and it it's especially helpful to hear. I've been using Slippery Elm for 3 years to alleviate the pain and my last order arrived yesterday. It tastes TERRIBLE! It's bitter and smells like pine trees and licorice slightly. I was just looking at Wikipedia's list to see if I could find another herb to try:

I was considering buying aloe vera powder but the flax seeds would be easier to find! Thank you for explaining how you prepare it. That sounds easy enough:)

If I can't find another supplier of good slippery elm, I will try several of the herbs from that place. I wonder if the chai seeds and psyllium husks would be made the same way you make your flax liquid?
