Still in extreme pain

Im just venting because I am getting extremely painful flare ups. Instead of it getting better the pain just gets worse when I eat anything. It can just come on early in the day and last all night. I can,t take any more of it. I don,t know why its not healing,if its settled down it soon flares up again even eating bland foods. Im wondering if this will ever heal now. Do you think that I should tell the doctors? They have changed to phone appointments only now so Im not sure if I can get one. I will have to try to phone someone but they might not be able to help me unless Im referred to another gastro and I don,t think they will do that. Has anyone else got bad pain? How do you cope with it? I just feel like crying as Im in pain all the time. Thanks

So sorry about the pain. Yes, I think you owe it to yourself to phone the doctor. Have you considered anymore switching doctors? Does the doctor know how much pain you are in? Are any more tests coming up, and finally, has he/she made dietary suggestions for you? Maybe you need to work one-on-one with a dietcian who will followup with you.
Have you tried an ice pack on your stomach, or using a heating pad while sitting (against your back)? I use these at different times, obviously, and both can help me. Hope that you will bring up all these issues to your doctor--or a new doctor. Hang in there!!

Hi sunlovinmom thanks. The only option I think is to phone up a doctor as its only phone call consultations now. Im not happy that I can,t get to see a doctor. As for diet well Ive been slipping up so no coffee,no chocolate and no mint chewing gum. Ive got pain at the top of my stomach where an ice or heat pack can,t reach. The rest of my stomach is fine. Ive got some more Slippery elm and Aloe vera too. I need a plan on when to take those. I know its twice a day for the Aloe vera. Can I take the Slippery elm the same time as A vera? I know its one or two hours after meds. Thanks

Hugs! Know you are not alone but always in the thoughts and hearts of many, even when you are in pain or having a difficult time. May today be better for you and if not, may you find the strength to carry you through.

Sorry for the late reply. I hadn't checked back very thoroughly!
I don't know about taking the aloe the same time as the slippery elm. However, when I was taking the aloe, it was within the same 1/2 to 1 hour--but that's just me. May be different for others. ravenfish: good inspiration as always and great advice!
