swollen left subclavicular lymph node

Hi,

I have swollen left subclavicular lymph node for about a week that is a little over an inch in size. I went to Dr. today (my Dr. wasn't in) and was told it does not look like an infection. I have no other symptoms and I am otherwise healthy. They put me on antibiotics for 10 days. If it doesn't go away by then end of the antibiotics they will then talk about next step. I assume this is biopsy.

Does it sound appropriate to be on antibiotic for 10 days as a first step and wait rather than go right to the biopsy?

Thanks.
