I ate some chicken tonight and it felt like it was stuck or something in my throat. There was a lot of pressure on my chest. I'm sure I ate too fast or didn't chew enough, plus the chicken was dry. However, after half an hour I started feeling really sick. So I went into the bathroom and made myself throw-up. I stuck my finger down my throat and then vomitted. Is that horrible? Will it damage my new stomach? I had surgery the first week in October and have felt great, other than when I eat chicken. I felt fine after I got sick, I'm just worried that making yourself vomit could damage something.

I think you'll be fine as long as you don't do this on a regular basis. I'm sure you're correct in that you didn't chew enough or possibly ate too fast. It's something I have to keep reminding myself all the time. It's almost a chant, "30 chews, chew chew chew, eat slowly, 30 chews, chew chew chew, eat slowly" repeat

I have always had a really hard time with eating chicken, im a year and a half out from my surgery and i still feel icky after eating it. And no making yourself throw up wont hurt you. I did it alot after my surgery. i would have stuff get stuck at work and because i couldnt just go lay down or relax while it got unstuke i would throw it up. I also cant throw up normal anymore unless i am extremelely sick and even then its not much so i have to make myself throw up even to this day

My surgery was June 16, and I still have trouble eating chicken! It feels like it gets stuck and is a boulder in my chest! Even if it is quite moist.
I have been able to rest and just wait it out until the feeling passes, but I've pretty much decided to avoid chicken indefinitely. Every time I've tried it I've had the same bad results! I'm sure you'll do fine; just chew, chew, chew, and maybe stay away from chicken for a while! Good luck! Becky

Please be careful in making yourself throw up. This can become a habit quickly. I know someone that started doing this then it bacame every time she ate something she shouldn't have she did this until it really started causing her some problems. IT didn't take long.

I too have been sick on chicken twice. I started really soaking it good with something before eating it, the moister, and wetter the better. Someone on here also said to eat more of the darker chicken meat, like thighs and legs, because it's a moister meat.
