Hi,
I've been reading all your posts for about a month now and they have been very helpful. I decided to have GBS back in June of this year and this month my Dr will b requesting approval from my insurance.....Right now i'm very confident, and feel informed, just really anxious for my insurance approval and to get a surgery date. This site has already been very informative pro-op and am sure will be a great support system post-op....hope to be on the losers bench soon! Posted on 11/08/09, 08:11 pm |

This sort of touches on the post elocyyma made earlier (see "my reason"), but what finally convince you that GBS was the right thing for you?
Please don't feel obligated to respond to this question. For some people, the reasons are deeply personal and they are just not comfortable discussing them in a forum like this -- and that is perfectly natural. OTOH, if you feel like sharing... FWIW, I posted about my reasons over on elocyyma's thread.

I had GBS in the back of my mind for a couple of years now, and always thought no, that's not for me. January'09 I said i would take control of my life,health and weight; I finally went to a seminar in June and left the seminar knowing GBS was what I needed.
