I woke up feeling nauseated, then dry heaved for a while. Had hoped it would pass, but as the day wears on, it seems unlikely. Do any of you have days like this that seem to come up out of the blue?

How many hours has it been since you've eaten or drank something. Overnight seems to be a killer on the pouch and woke up several times nauseaus. I think my pouch would feel bad if it got too dry, or too hungry. So for me, I've been one to eat and drink all the way up until bedtime, because I read somewhere we should try not to go more than 8 hours on an empty pouch or it will be tempermental. Hope you feel better soon!!!

didn't u just have your surgery not to long ago? They say the anesthesia is in you for like a month so that could be making you nauseated--did they give you any anti-nausea medicine? I would just take it easy and drink as much fluids as you can so you dont get hydrated- it might take you all day but sip it and drink SLOWLY. Hope you feel better

i agree with tracy-that anesthesia stays with you for a long time. and my doctor gave me phenergan as well. it made me sick as a dog, so i had to wean myself off of it. took me about three weeks, but much better after that.

Thanks, everyone! Yes, I am 4 1/2 weeks out. But I have been feeling good for about a week, so I didn't expect that. Thanks for the reminders. I think I slept too long without eating or drinking.

I'm also 4 & 1/2 weeks out (Oct 7)
I wake up in the middle of the night hungry - but try to limit food to just 1 or two bites - usually yogurt. I'm still very big on the sugar-free popsicles. I'll check my blood sugar whenever I'm up and if it's above 115 or so I'll only eat the popsicles (I put my popsicles in the microwave for just a few seconds (8-10). This softens them up and takes the hard chill out of them
