" I have no trouble with alcohol and enjoy a margarita every now and again. I'd avoid beer because of the carbination and certain drinks have too much sugar. But I do find I am a very cheap drunk, just one drink does me good. "

" Sorry if I offend anyone but!!!
First off they say "No Alcohol" after surgery and then to put carbonation on top of that can send you into the hospital with ulcers and trust me life would not be fun....
You need to go back and rethink why you had this surgery...It should be a NEW way of life not to see what you can get away with...
Drinking alcohol after bypass surgery can do many bad thinks to your body...If you NEED that drink then I suggest you look at why You NEED that drink....
Please be safe with your new belly................ "

" I don't need a drink humming bird,I choose to have one every 2 months on average. No one told me no alcohol.Everyone is different, the only addiction I have ever had is food, and drinking every 8 weeks 3 glasses of guinness is not a need, its an enjoyment whilst socialising.I understand where your coming from, everyone is different, some people can't tolerate a drink after gbs, others can.I don't drink carbonated drinks, some people can tolerate it.Your point is valid but I really don't believe that any of us on here who choose to drink occasionally need a drink,if people do then maybe they have replaced food for alcohol, which is not good.I don't think you have offended anyone at all, everyone is different. What does for one won't do for another.Andrea xxxxx "

" Very well put, Andrea. I agree with you, I don't NEED a drink, but do enjoy one occasionally while socializing. This is a lifestyle change, but I find it impossible to give up every pleasure in life. And, I don't do it every day, just once in awhile. "
