I am 6 weeks post GBS surgery and so far doing great (down 23 lbs and 19 inches) but I made the mistake of taking the tiniest nibble off the edge of my husbands pizza last night... (we took the kids out for pizza before the monster truck show) I mean a miniscule bite ... chewed it for like EVER .... and it is STUCK!!! I have felt that bite for the past 12 + hours! It feels like a knot in my chest! I can't take a deep breath or swallow anything without it hurting! CRAZY! It has gotten progressively worse not better. At one point today I began to worry I was having some kind of heart attack...

I finally called my aunt today(who had gbs 2 years ago) and she assured me that this was stuck food, she has experienced it more than once! Then she told me to try drinking diet soda and belching to dislodge it (she said it always works for her)...She says that it has to come up or go down... It has helped some but the carbonation in the diet soda really hurts also!

I really don't think the bite has moved any... it still HURTS so bad!!! So any other suggestions??? Otherwise Iam pretty sure I am headed to the doctor tomorrow!

" I read that you should try some meat tenderizer in warm water. To just sip it. "
