Hi Everyone!
I am 2 weeks post op as of today. I can not believe it has gone by that fast.
Still having some pain and I am tired, but it will get better. Followed up with my surgion last week and everything is going well. I go back to see him in a few weeks for my 1 month follow up. Food is going ok. I am really trying to get all of my protein in, but it is very very hard. Every day gets better though. Because I am 2 weeks out now I can add different foods in.
So in 2 weeks I have gone from 295 to 274lbs. That is 21lbs in 2 weeks. The weight loss is slowing down. But I am trying to keep my head up. I got on the scale this morning and did not lose anything since yesturday.
I hope everyone is doing well,

Carrie

" You are doing fine. It does take awhile to be able to get in all you protein and at first it may be necessary to use protein shakes as snacks to supplement. It will get easier. Just do the best you can and be sure to get in fluids and supplements. d

PS Weighing every day is self- defeating and will drive you crazy. I weigh not more than once a week and at doc visits. I had my surgery on the 6th of the month so I weigh on the 6th, 16th, 26th. "

Thats a lot of weight for 2 weeks!! youre doing great..I think its better to lose it at a good pace and eat right so I dont get gallbladder issues than to hurry to get the weight off.

" I am one day behind you. I am 13 days out and down 22 lbs. I am tired but taking naps as needed. I stopped the pain meds awhile ago. Everything is staying down and I am tolerating EAS carb control shakes better than anything. I am still with my family in Fl so it is doubly hard healing and not having my home stash. I had a bite of avocado and it was yum. "

" Carrie, so glad to hear things are going well. 21 lbs in 2 weeks?!?!?! That's amazing. Please know it won't all melt that quickly. Over the year I took to get the extra weight off, I averaged 2 lbs a week (some weeks more, a couple weeks less).

You are doing great!! Have I mentioned that I just love watching people shrink and get healthy?

" Thank you everyone for your comments. I am excited that I lost that much weight. Now I am at the weight I was when my son got really really sick back in Febuary. I can't believe I had gained 20lbs, but it happened.
I am going to move my scale so I am not tempted to weigh myself every day. I can tell that my weight loss is slowing down. Which I know from reading everyone's posts here that it is normal, but it is hard to see. Today I think I actually did really good getting the fluid in and felt better. I only needed 1 nap today. After dinner we took the kids to get ice cream and to the park. Of course today they got a new flavor (my favorite) snickers!! But I did good. I got a bottle of water. At first it was hard, but then it got easier and before I knew it we were off to the park!!
You guys are the best with the amount of support you all give each other. I am so glad that I found this site. It keeps me going between support group meetings!!
Thanks,
Carrie :-) "
