Sleeve bypass

I had a sleeve bypass on Oct. 6th. I did really well on my post surgery diet. I lost 50 pounds. After the surgery I followed the liquid diet and then the pureed diet and lost another 23 pounds. However now I have been stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks. I know its only been a month, but am I doing something wrong? My cloths are way loser, but the scale is not moving. Also I just started eating soft foods, like eggs and cottage cheese. Sometimes I feel hungry. Is that only in my mind? So I over-eat, and then get a stomach ache, but no vomitting or anything. I eat like 10 or 15 bites instead of like 5. I'm worried that I'm going to ruin all my hard work, since a sleeve bypass doesn't cause dumping, I don't have serious enough consquences. Please help!!

Hi Cryion,
Not sure about the band I had the bypass and it appears things do slow down a bit shortly afterwards. i expect our bodies are rebelling and saying hey if your not gonna give me what I'm used too.... All in good time, you did real well pre op... just stick to the rules try to reduce your intake IF you think your over eating but do call your team, they ill give the best advice. I expect it will take a few fills till they have the tightness right.. its early days, please dont beat yourself up...your heading in the right direction ok.... Good luck BUZZ xx

I originally wanted the sleeve, but it's new so my insurance didn't cover it or any possible complications if I paid for it myself. After reconsidering, I had GBS and it's been fine for me too.
It sounds to me like you are losing at a fine rate. Remember not to compare with others who had surgery at the same time as you because we all have different starting weights and maybe some other medications or health issues that slow the weight coming off. Still, that is some good weight loss lady. Be patient. Concentrate on the process. Cindy

I had the bypass surgery as well, but I too stopped losing weight at around 2 weeks, and when I asked my Doctor about this this is what she said: Our bodies are in shock! They feel as though we are starving ourselves so the "hoard" what little we are getting in. So she recommended that I change up my habits a little. If you exercise in the morning, exercise at night. If you take protein shakes at night try them for breakfast or in the afternoon. Be sure to get in all your protein, vitamins and fluids. We all come to plateaus at different times (and more then once I might add) so just hang in there sweetie the scales will start moving again! Don't get hung up looking at the scales either, you did say your clothes are getting bigger so that is and indicator that you are on the right track! Have a great day
