Hi all. Have been following group for a few months now and have posted for info once. But now, if you don't mind, I want to be "family". I saw the surgeon, psych, and nutrit. yesterday and it's all systems GO! Surgery date set for Dec 2 and I'm so excited I can't stand it.I will be driving y'all nuts with questions.

First, I was a bit put off by nutrit. Seems she wanted to sell us their vitamins and liquid protein. Anyone hear of Ptoteinex? Just how much protein do we need per day? I have a thousand other questions but it's all just rattling around in my brain. Thanks in advance.

" I never bought anything through the nutritionist. I buy everything possible at "normal" stores (vitamin shoppes and the grocery store).

They have more and more sugar free items taht make life post surgery so much easier! "

" Welcome!!

Good name too because after surgery you will want to eat lots of it!!

I was told that I need a minimum of 64 g of protein per day. I am 4 weeks out and having a hard time trying to get it in.

I do not like the protein drinks and would love to hear more about the liquid protein.

Welcome to this site - the people are amazing and can help you with any questions! "
