Ok so I had my Psychological Eval this past Tues and that went really well. The Psychiatrist told me a few thing I need to do..

The 1st was get rid of Diet Soda.. Thats DONE!!! I have NO PROBLEM letting that go. I didn't drink it too often anymore, had already cut WAY BACK..

Then there's the coffee.. Need to start drinking DECAF..I've tried it in the past, and I'm sorry it just has a bitter taste and I did NOT like it!!!! Plus, I usually start my day with my coffee..CAFFEINIE to wake up and get going. I KNOW I have to do this BUT How??? I'm gonna buy a small can of DECAF and try to "slowly" add it to my regular for a while..Maybe like half & half or something...How did You all do it? ESPECIALLY those of You that needed it to wake-up and get You going everyday?? I mean there's NO CAFFEINE!!!

I'm up for suggestions, idea's,etc.

ALSO, I'm looking for some ideas on where to find some nice "SUGAR FREE" flavoring syrups, extracts ect so I can have flavored coffee..Also, not too expensive! Help please!!!

Thanks

" I am so like you. I switched to decaf after sugery and made it about 2 weeks before I couldn't stand it any longer and switched back, LOL. I haven't had any problems drinking regular coffee. I even tried the sugar free syrups and creamers, and they are just gross. I couldn't get past the taste, and missed my favorite coffee in the morning. I read the labels on regular french vanilla coffee mate, and there is only 4g of sugar per serving. Well, geez, I can handle that no problem. So now, I'm 7 months out, and still enjoy that same coffee I always have. Best of luck! "

" the morning after surgery they brought me a cup of coffee while in the hospital! I still drink full leaded coffee and tea BUT I can only drink a small amount at a time. I also use truvia or splenda instead of sugar and I use half and half ( about 1 tsp) for creamer. after the surgery you might be have problems with caffine but that is diffrent for everyone. just watch your sugar intake, even with flavorings there still might be sugar alchol or other types of hidden sugars.
