3 weeks out-weight loss??

Ok-here I go again-- I understand that your body is like what the heck did you do but I have been on pureed foods for exactly 2 weeks and I gained 2 pounds!! I am like what the heck- For the first week of puree all I ate was either egg whites in moring (oatmeal the next day) protein drink, then either quarter cup of the yogurt carton and save the remaining for next time (always diet kind) or maybe cottage cheese (1%) 1/4 to 1/2 c depending what I can stomach and for dinner it was tilapia (3oz if I could) and 1/4 c of mashed potatoes. Last week I hardly ate anything at all since my schedule was all screwed up. I am exercising every day by walking and tonight I went back to the gym and was on the treadmill for 45 minutes on a incline of 4. I weighed myself after working out on one of those "balancing scales" at the gym and it was 2 pounds more. I started thinking about the sodium I might be taking in and the only time I actually use salt is on a hard boiled egg or cottage cheese so i stopped that and people at work were telling me sodium is high in the fat free soups which I had a lot of last week for dinner since its fast and it goes down easy. I have been looking at the carbs, fat content and sugar and nothing else. I am soo frustrated and sad and I know I shouldn't be and I am trying not to be this way but here "we" are starting over and at such a drastic way and I am now gaining 2 pounds at 3 weeks out?? I am getting the protein in by drinking those god awful protein "shots" from Walmart but I dilute them with water. I guess I am wondering what have some of you eaten and done when you first started out? I dont really like refried beans or chilli-I know a lot of you have said its good with cheese, etc but I just cant eat that-ughh. Please tell me I am doing something wrong!! My doc said I couldn't go on elliptical yet -has anyone started on that type of exercise at 3 weeks out yet? Please help-- I appreciate it and I apologize for complaining!!

" Well I was there just a couple of months ago.
I am a lady who is obsessed with the scale. I weigh myself ALL the time. More than morning noon and night. I have up days and down days. Yes sometimes it is depressing and I don't understand the changes. In my heart I know It will work. Just have faith in yourself and your doctor. In time the change will show.
This is a wonderful place to get and share support. "
