Gambling Addiction & Recovery Support Group

It has been a VERY long time since I posted a journal. It has been over 10 months since I last placed a bet, and I haven't looked back. I was a wreck during those days, owing all kinds of people, freshly bankrupted, abusing alcohol and drugs. Today, I have finished my university degree, I am currently enrolled in a post graduate program, no longer do any drugs (I have the occasional social drink, alcohol was never really a vice for me, just an escape during the rough times). I am rebuilding my credit, I just got approved for a secured card with a 750$ limit and only 75$ security fund. My anxiety has all but disappeared (once and awhile during stressful situations like exams/doctors appointments, etc. very mild, but thats almost everyone.)
I just want everyone to know there is hope, you get by that first month, and it just becomes easier and easier. Please, do it for yourselves, the feeling is worth more than any amount of money. No more hiding secrets, no more temper at love ones, no more worries about paying the bills (once you set up repaying any outstanding debts).
