After yesterdeys epiphony ive decided to get some professional help. This is the first time ive EVER admited that ive got a problem IM A GAMBLING ADDICT. I dont want to feel this way anymore im sick of waking up and feeling like crap and wondering where my next paycheck will go so heres to a new beginning and hopefully a better life.

I'M A GAMBLING ADDICT, too. When I got to the point where I knew in my heart I needed help, I was on my way. WAY TO GO, get all the help you can, here and everywhere else you can. No gambling will equal the beginning of a better life :)

I am a gambling addict as well. This is a good step you are making. Keep with it.
I wish I would have kept with it after making this discovery. I had a relapse this weekend and am struggling to find any bit of respect for myself that I can muster. I know that I have let everybody around me down, now all I can do is live day to day. I will not gamble today.

I have also finally admitted defeat. I have given all what small amount of money remains to my wife and I have banned myself for life from my favorite poker site. I have also been attending GA meetings for the past 3 days. I don't think I could do it without the GA meetings.

I have tried to quit many times before. This time feels different from the others. Now I am actively visiting and posting on forums such as this one. Just connecting with CGs is a relief.
Today was Day Three to wards sobriety. My first goal is to reach 14 days and then go from there. I know exactly what you are going through. Keep visiting and posting on this forum.
