Hi Folks. I just had my gallbladder taken out Monday morning. Through my bellybutton. I was wondering how much there should be. Because I am getting what feel like cramps very painful. Right now I am not eating because of these cramp like pains. Are these pains normal?

Hello, I had mine out same way, last April. I was in some pain for a good week, mostly from the gas they pump in you. If is worrying you ask your Doc. I do have a bit of advice for you, if you have a diet high in fats, you'll need to cahnge it, to a low fat one. And since your gallbladder isn't around to help break down fats anymore, you might need an enzyme supplement to help you digest your food. I found a good one at Vitamin Cottage for $16.00 and it has made a world of difference. It's called super enzyme and it is by NOW.
Good luck and call your Dr. if you are worried about your pain, that's what they are there for :)
