This is kinda long and drawn out so I will try and make it short as possible......
.In August 2007 I lost my 9 week old son to SIDS......Dr gave me 2 meds for my depression and nerves....around this time I started to have Diarrhea.....I have always been emotional diarrhea person (meaning when I get upset and cry, like with a break up , death or something I have diarrhea) so I didnt see this as unusual...plus I was taking 2 new medicines (( which I stopped in October 2007)

..Feb 2008 I went to GI Dr and told him about my symptoms and without any tests he said IBS and gave me pills Levbid for IBS-D ....this medicine worked OK until I couldnt afford it in Nov 2008 I stayed off of it until Jan 2009 started it back and this time it didnt help......went back to him he increased the dose to 2 pills a day and this made me constipated and he said to juggle the dose 1 today and 2 the next day.....

...July 23 I went back to him and asked if I could try a different medicine because this one is $79 a month!!!! He said there is not anything else I could take this is it.....At this appt I also mentioned about pain in my right upper quadrant...poss gallbaldder/stones and wanted him to do something or I would find a new Dr that would....(I have been seeing him since 2006 and mentioned the gallbaldder thing at least 4 times .....each time he would blow me off) this time he did send me for a sonogram

....July 27 had sonogram and gallstone were found!!!!
......July 28 The GI dr called to tell me to contact a surgeon about my gallstones
......July 31 appt with the surgeon...surgery scheduled for Aug 7
.....Aug 7 gallbaldder surgery
.......Aug 13 follow up with GI Dr and he came in and started telling me he had bad news for me ......and he goes on to say that I have gallstones and need surgery!!!!I told him HAD gallstones but not anymore......he looked very strange and goes on to tell me I need surgery ....I told him I already had surgery the whole gallbladder is gone....he goes on to tell me" fine if I dont want to take this serious"
WHATEVER>.... .......then I go on to tell him that I still have diarrhea....he said I need to keep taking the meds he perscribed...again I tried to tell him they are too high cant he give something else...cheaper and that will WORK!!!! he then wanted to go back to talk about the gallbladder that is GONE!!!!!

OK my question is this ...several people have said that since I have been having gallbladder problems for several years that may be what is causing the diarrhea.....and now that it is gone I have heard that certain foods can cause it now....

what should I do because I work at a job where I have to be at my desk ...I cant leave unless someone is there to take my place.......snd those of you that may have this problem (diarrhea) you know it cant be held...you have to GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GOGOGOGO NOW!!!!!! I dont know what I need to do ...I thought about just not eating while here at work but I have tried that today and I feel sick to my tummy, headache, and dizzy......so this will not work.....please anyone have any suggestions????

" Isn't there a medication that you can take on a daily basis that binds to the bile to reduce the diarrhea? I remember seeing a discussion on it before but can't remember the name...cholestal or something like that? It is made specifically to reduce the bile in your system so would probably be a good option for you. Hope this helps! "

" Is is a prescription called Cholestramine (generic), Questran or Cholestid (brand names). From what I read, it is a powder that you mix with water and drink and it binds to the bile and reduces diarrhea caused by the bile. Also reduces cholesteral which can't be a bad thing. If you google it there is a lot of info on it and it seems like there aren't too many side effects from it. I couldn't locate the discussion posts here but I know that there were a few comments on it for post GB removal diarrhea. Good luck to you and hope it works! "
