I am new to this group so I will give a little back ground and if you could tell me what you think that would be great!
I have never had these symptoms until 3 months ago, after I lost 30lbs I started hurting on my right side, at first I thought I pulled a muscle, then a trip to the doctor and another to the er confirmed what i thought. But then the pain kept getting worse instead of better!
So i went to my nurse practitioner and she did more thorough tests... She pushed under my right rib and I literally stopped breathing because of the pain OMG! She said it was my gallbladder, so omorrow is my ultra sound. Did any of you have these symtoms?

Extremely painful spasm like feeling on your right side,
Pain in your back between shoulder blades, and makes it hard to breath
pain in lower back
naussea
acid reflux
bloating/gas/belching
it almost feels like a hard knot is on my side and i can only lay down to relieve the tension and pain.

So I am scared, I have not thrown up or had a fever, but all the stuff online freaks me out, like one thing said you can get gangrene! its been hurting on and off for 3 months now, and the pain is more constant.

" I used to have light pain in my right side but brushed it off as gas. I finally went to my gastro doctor, as I have reflux into my esphagus that I take medicine for. After testing I found out that I have two floating gal stones.
He said not to worry unless I start getting a lot of gal bladder attacks. I've had one and the hospital wanted to keep me and remove the gal bladder but I went home AMA (against medical advice) because it was a Sunday and they couldn't reach my gastro doc.
I haven't had anymore problems and have read up a lot on removal of the gal bladder and also information about diets that help your gal bladder.
I don't recomend having it out unless you have no alternative; sometimes the surgery causes more pain after recovery and my stones are small.
It's always good to get a second opinion if you have insurance that covers it. Some doctors will want to operate even if it isn't needed.
Hugs to you and hope that you don't need surgery. "

" you should check back into the er immediately and call ur doctor. also find some good books to help understand what your condition is and how to cope with it. i haven't had time yet to look. but i will get to it. also i have taken things slowly and tried not to get a lot and get what my stomach can handle. don't be scared. i have had horrible pain myself. and i had the surgery and now i feel all better. so, you will be fine once you get some treatment. good luck!
