hey all,

I’m very scared right now for my fiancé. Recently he had his gallbladder removed and has been very sick ever since. Throwing up every day, he has lost 40lbs in only a month and a half, sweating like crazy, diarrhea. He is really freaked out so I thought I would try this website. I am looking for advice on if this is normal or not. Also I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find friendly foods that he can eat. I have been doing so much research but I have found that there really isn’t that much info out there about this. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kathy

" It sounds like he has what I have.... Postcholecystectomy syndrome. I had severe abdominal pain, sweating, chronic diarrhea, continuous nausea, and fatigue. I would suggest going to the doctor and talking about those symptoms because all of them could be a sign of several other intestinal problems and they need to rule out all other threats. If it is PCS there is a couple of medicines to treat it. I have adapted my diet to extremely low fat contents and that had made my life much better. Also I found that probiotic cultures in a pill form helped a lot.

Good luck! I hope he gets better! "
