i have been having a throat pain. i really dont feel it just swallowing normally.
but when i yawn, or sneeze then swallow i feel a pain(not like a sore throat) but like a bruise or soemthing on the right side, right below my tonsil. i went to my ENT he didnt see anyting. i am going back on monday. i have had a history of acid reflux. this pain in my throat has been going on for about 6 months, sometimes worse than others. i just now possibly correrlate the pain with acid reflux. i never really did anything for my reflux other than taking OTC prilosec. i dont get it, but i do eat LATE at night and i fear when i sleep the acid is creeping up and buringin my esophogaus. i am cutting out spicy foods, alcohol and eating late and seeing if i can get it cleared up. ANY ONE ELSE EXPERIENCE symptoms as this? Thanks Posted on 10/28/09, 01:10 pm |

Yes, you will need to raise the head of your bed, and follow the gerd diet. Also make sure you don't eat anything for 3-4 hours before going to bet. I always found the following website to be very helpful:

You need to see a gastrologist so they can do an endoscopy on your and see whats going on down in there. ENT cant see that far down,.
Good luck. Google Gerd and you find tons of info.

I hope that everything turned out well for you! I find that it is a constant battle with GERD/Acid Reflux, especially when you sleep. Elevating the head of your bed about six inches does help significantly. If you ever feel sick to your stomach in the morning, it is probably due to night time GERD. It takes a while to heal, just be patient and give it time.
