" I used it for nausea too. It works wonderfully, however after taking it 3 times a day for awhile I got extremely restless and agitated. It's different for everyone though, some people have no problems. The reason it has warnings on it is because it can cause involuntary muscle movements of the face, that can be permanent. This side effect has been long known about, even though they have been talking about it again recently. I actually just asked my doctor about it and he told me to switched to Compazine. Compazine doesn't do the same thing that reglan does, as in moving things out of the stomach; it only relieves nausea. The only comparable medicine to reglan is domperidone which is not approved in the US yet; only Canada. See how you are on it after a week or so..... "

" I USE COMPAZINE AND HAVE NEVER HAD A REACTION FROM IT AND THEY DO WORK WELL. A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THAT THEY GIVE IT TO OLDER PEOPLE IN THE HOSPITAL AND IF THEY GET TOO MUCH, THEY START HALLUCINATING. I'VE TAKEN IT FOR A LONG TIME, ON AND OFF AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD REACTION. HOPE THIS HELPS. "

" My wife's doctor indicated the same side effects.

He recommended a generic alternative from the Canadian Pharmacy called Domperidone 10MG. It has the same benefits without the side effects.

Best of luck. "

" THE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES HAVE TO LIST EVERY POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECT THAT A DRUG MIGHT CAUSE BUT IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN YOU WILL GET THAT SIDE EFFECT. THEY ARE JUST CTA. IF IT IS HELPING YOU, KEEP TAKING IT UNLESS YOU GET A BAD SIDE EFFECT AND THEN TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR AND PHARMACIST RIGHT AWAY. IT'S NOT GOOD TO GO OFF ANY MEDICATION COLD TURKEY. THAT CAN CAUSE EVEN MORE PROBLEMS. I WISH YOU WELL. SOFT HUGS. "

" Reglan worked very well for me.I noticed also feeling restless and was also cocerned about the involuntary movements (NOT limited to the face, BTW).I found that I could cut the dose in have and it worked well enough.I also would have 1 or sometimes 2 liquid meals in oeder to take it less often.Domperidone did absolutly nothing for me. " i take reglan for nausea and for large meals. It works well but have had some side effects that kind of change each time.mostly it has been restlessness or anxiety. One time it caused arm and leg movements i had trouble controlling but i was also having other physical issues at the time so i cant say for certain that it was the reglan.my doc said that the side effects are more likely with long term use. but it works so well for nausea. :) -Tahnee "
