I am finding it very frustrating to find that each website I come across with lists of FI foods differ so radically. Some will show an item of food as one to avoid and then on another website find that same item of food as one that is safe to eat. Which I think means that we have to find out for ourselves what is ok and what is not.

You may find this helpful:
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodc... If you type in the food you need information on, it will tell you how much glucose and fructose is in it - then you will know the ratio of fructose to glucose. Not all foods have the sugars broken down, however.
