Hi everyone, I am new here. I have a 12 year old son who two weeks ago had a full genome array done and fragile x genetic testing. My son has some learning disabilites, not autistic, etc. He just has a really hard time learning. I have been home schooling him since last year, as the public school would only have him in a self contained class with some autistic children, he was not learning (he is almost 3 years behind). A reading tutor suggested a eeg and we went to a neurologist. EEg was normal but the doc stated with my son being 12 and the only sign of maybe fragile x was big ears (no bigger than his grandfather) :) I am trying to learn all I can about x. He can remember movies, shows, playstation etc, but when comes to math, reading, etc. He struggles. He has adhd (inatentive type). I just need an answer on why he struggles so much and so we can get the help he deserves!! Thanks for letting me ramble!! Sorry!
