I have court in about a week & I had an incorrigable filed on me by my parents over the summer, because I ran away. But because my dad beat me for no reason? & in return I suppose this is their revenge on me for telling. I'd been living with my aunt & doing good, doing everything she asked me too do, stayed out of trouble, going to school, being a model child so to speak. So my parents made me move back in with them, out of jealousy I'm assuming. But it was required when I got put on Behavioral Monitoring or whatever, that I see a therapist, get drug tested, & go to school. I've been doing all of those, except going to school most of the time. And my therapist & social worker are pretty much saying, I'm going to a group home. Do you think a judge would rather me live with my aunt, than go to a group home? Please help me out.

Yeah, a judge will prolly choose a relative over a group home (which always really suck) but you should talk to a guardian ad litem if you have one, or even go to court yourself and say that you've done well with her b4 and think it would be good for you...Good luck

Well, that's what my court date is about. My social worker is referring me to go to a Group Home because I haven't been going to school. What exactally are they like?

Some worse than others. In most you get absolutly no freedom. The on I live in I cant even leave the property without a 'staff'.
Im not aloud to go to friends houses, I can go hangout. A fosterhome is good depending on the fosterparents but your social worker is trying to teach you a lesson. It is also quite hard for anyone to get you out once you come to fostercare.

Well i can tell you from experience that being in foster care you will meet the meanest people EVER!!! i love in a group home rite...now and it sucks really bad...A LOT of DRAMA!!! Well i would saythat you should definatly go to school and not give any problems cuz trust me you dont wanna go to a group home.
