Heyy,
As far as I know, the food I'm allergic to is a rare allergy to have. I'm allergic to chocolate.... The only other person I know who is allergic to chocolate is my aunt and she hardly remembers all her initial symptoms. I was wondering if any of you have ever heard of this. Please don't be mistaken, It's not a dislike, because prior to my reactions I ate chocolate ALL THE TIME... and so did my aunt. It's so hard to deal with because even the smell of chocolate is nauseating and it's pretty hard to avoid...People eat it everywhere!! Ugh...idk, I guess I just wanted to know what anyone thought... Maybe not so rare, a teacher in our school district is allergic to chocolate also. I miss chocolate too, as I'm allergic to dairy, so most chocolate is out for me!

How do they deal with the teacher being allergic to chocolate? Like I know for my aunt, they banned it from her floor because the smell for her is just as bad as the intake.

I just went to an allergist last week and she said that I was slightly allergic to chocolate. She also said that I was her first patient to e allergic to chocolate ever. I think my dad said that he was allergic to it too.

Over a period of a couple of years I developed allergies to almost everything, including Chocolate. I used to be a chocoholic.
Actually I'm not sure if it is the chocolate per se or something else in it.

personly i'm sentive to it and i know this I belive she's 6 now lil girl is allergic to cholate and strawberrys her face breaks out in hives.

Are you allergic to all grades of chocolate? Is it that you are allergic to the cocoa bean? Or is it just processed chocolate? Pat

of course cocoa is a bean, so linked to bean allergy.
however chocolate contains a high level of other foods, like milk, and nuts, that a true cocoa allergy is diagnosed after testing, from a clean source. what symtoms did you have on first exposure? do you have any other problems with beans?
