help, need ideas for feeding my 7yold son

we just recently found out that he is allergic to beef, wheat, soy, corn, rice, oats, peanuts, eggs, more testing to come. he is a picky eater that loves sweets. starting school in 2 weeks, no idea what to send him for lunch. the wheat thing has us baffeled. ive tried making bread and pancakes, but there disgusting im afraid hes gonna starve! hes not a big veggie eater either. i need some good ideas on breakfast and lunch box ideas for him. ive been on a lot of web sites for celiac disease, but theres not a lot of ideas for kids. hopefully there is someone out there that can help us.

Look in the freezer section of the grocery store for special breads based on grain allergies. There are also cake and brownie mixes and stuff in the health-food aisle or at the nearest health-food store.
It sounds like this kid has a candida problem -- I suggest you run out immediately for a cope of "The Yeast Connection" and start killing off the candida. If you stick with it the food allergies should be less intense and he may even stop being a picky eater. The two tend to come together. My question for you is, what DOES he like to eat? That's the main thing to work around, to make sure he isn't trading his lunch with some other kid's. There is no reason to send him off to school with wheat anything. There's apple-nut salad (chopped apples, skin on, doused with lemon or lime juice to keep them from turning brown and tossed with chopped walnuts and cinnamon. Filling, sweet, and should be safe for him. Apples or other firm fruit slices can also be spread with non-peanut butters, like almond butter, cashew butter, or hazelnut butter. (If he does not like Nutella, the infamous chocolate hazelnut butter, he should be rushed to a doctor.) You can also get those individual-sized caramel or chocolate dippy things for him to dip fruit slices in. Make those pinwheel roll-up things with cold cuts, whatever he can have, and a slice of cheese. Instead of bread you hold it together with a cocktail toothpick with the little ruffles on the end. Can you send him to school with a Thermos of hot tomato soup and some cheese slices? Or a Thermos of, I don't know, beef stew or mom's signature paprikash or something else you know he likes? I admit, being allergic to that particular collection of things makes it tough. He is just going to have to bite the bullet and start acquiring a taste for more foods.

i second the nut and seed butters. sunflower seed butter is a wicked dip for veggies. there is such a great variety of veggies available to us in north america, we are so lucky. try jicama, google it. it's got a bit of sweetness to it, kind of like a pear. also, quinoa is an amazingly versatile "grain". i sprout mine and make stir frys and cold salads with it. yummy :-)
