IN recovery, thinking back.... trigger

Im thinking back to my old days.... a big bag of chips every single day... making sure I visited certain stores, to make sure my chip supply was full. I can certainly tell you which stores stocked which chips...

wow, i cant believe that was me. I remember leaving the chinese food restaurant and my kids saying "are we stopping at the convenient sore for chips for mom?"

I always had a binge at 3:00, right before dinner... 3:00 is still a difficult time for me, but it is much much better... I was eating a yogurt at 3, but I didnt look forward to it at all.... so I have my yogurt in the morning now, and my granola bar at 3.. its sweet and it helps...

Im on my 3rd year of the weight loss.... I still have emotional issues with chocolate binging, but my chip binges are gone... I hate chips now.... isnt that crazy?

anyway, i want you all to know... I am in recovery, I have fought so hard to change my life and I have done it. Nothing is perfect, and I have issues... but in general I am a much happier, well adjusted person....

Im here if anyone needs or wants help...

" Thank you for writing that. It was inspirational. I have a chip 'thing' too, but I'm just starting, and failing quite often. I did join a new gym and have been going and that has helped me a lot. I would like to get to a point where I hate chips too! "

" its a long hard process, steps back, steps forward.... I changed the way I live my life for good. No fired foods (or hardly ever) no salty foods... so now when I have them I find them gross... it took a long time but I did it...

live well and you will be well...

junk food used to be my best friend.... now I have other outlets... "
