" I dislike sugar, and I consider my diet to be quite sugar-free relative to other people's. I'd avoid all simple sugars found in items such as candies (unless it's diabetic candies), sugary cereal, and pretty much all bakery products (unless you make your own sugree-redueced/free version). Bread and pasta - they are ok to eat as long as they are made with whole grain/wheat...

You have to ask yourself: why do you want to have a sugar-free diet? Are you sensitive to sugar? Do you want to lose weight? Depending on your goal, you can be more restrictie/lenient on your food choices "

" BlueBerries- you dislike sugar?!!? OOOOH, you are sooo lucky.

Sugar is in everything edible so its really up to you how you want to do it. Proteins like nuts, lean meats and chicken don't turn to sugar in the body as fast as ....just about everything else.

Good luck in all you do!!!!! "

" My sugar-free diet is essentially this: no cane sugar (all forms; granulated, raw, succanat, molasses, etc...) and no white flour. For the first couple weeks I'm cutting out honey and agave syrup just so I don't pig out on them, but am allowing myself fruit. I'm on day 1 and so good so far. "

" I should also mention that I am eating whole grain, whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta ( I like them better than the white stuff anyway ). "

" Eating whole grains, tortillas, pitas, some cereals, pasta...things with lower sugar counts are great for us as long as we eat them in moderation.

Candy & chocolate are full of the really bad kind of sugar & should be all but eliminated from your diet.

Some canned fruit companies add sugar to the fruit, so look for canned fruit that says "no sugar added."

Meat is a good thing for your diet because you get protein & nutrients that you don't get anywhere else (and you need!) from it. Just make sure to remove any excess fats from meat before cooking/eating!!

Don't forget about your veggies! Most veggies carry lots of fiber & plenty of nutrients...plus they're low in fat so you can eat more of them!

Hope that helps...I'm just starting on my new way of thinking about food & I can't wait to make these changes.

" Hi there,
I've become vegan or tryihng. i know i binge on anything and everytihng with sugar. i've read some much about how some folkis, especially those with eating disorders or food sensitivty are sugar intollrant. For me, i know that anything sugar makes me very depressed, tired and more lilely to binge. i do eat whole grains but try not to have too many. I also found that having fruit in the mornig is more likley to make me binge later in the dayl so i'm going to try and haev fruit only in the afternoon. if anyone else is up for creating a blog to disucess what helps them from not binging let me know!
