What do you think my specific eating disorder is?

I go through periods where I am constantly eating--I binge for weeks at a time & it is almost always the junkiest food I can find...candy, chips, cakes, etc. Then for another couple weeks I will be obsessed with watching thinspos on youtube & not eating & going to all these pro ana sites and crap... then I start feeling sick that I'm doing that again (I had anorexia last spring but I recovered) and so I force myself to eat normal & I'll start reading health mags then I'll be feeling really motivated & wanting to just be HEALTHY, not nessecarily my idea of 'thin'...and then because I have no will power, I start adding junk food in the mix, which eventually digresses to bining on all junk food again. What is wrong with me, I have this weird, destructive cycle going on here...does anyone else have a similar problem, and what is the name for this eating disorder? Because I know there must be a specific name for this kind of behavior...right?

" I think you would be medically called ENDOS (eating disorder not otherwise specified) But it's definately an issue. Are you recieving any type of outpatient treatment? If not, I think you should look in to it. "

" personally i don't think the name matters ... regardless of which stage in the cyle you are in - the primary goal is the same - to focus your energy and attention on what you are or aren't eating.

the question i wonder about is .... what are you NOT focusing your attention on? what are you avoiding by this cycle of behaviour? "

" I agree the name doesn't matter much, My predominant problem is binge eating, but if you read my entire history,I have had periods of anorexia, and times when I was weight conscious and pretty well in control of things, and years of fairly normal size; I also have had some times of bulimia-like behaviors, though I never purged by throwing up(laxative and diuretic abuse). Most all of the eating disorders have the same causes and treatments. They all have to do with control issues, and using food in one way or another to maintain some kind of control, or for comfort or to hide behind. "
