  • Were You Loved???

    Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Sometimes in the self-discovery that allows for personal growth and acceptance, it is equally important to recall a moment where we know we were loved ... recalling it provides the "balance" that is needed in our lives and promotes the healing of our hearts.

  • FOREST WALK

Friday, June 6, 2008 | An Inspiring story

It's a little like a wonderland - I expect pixies to leap out at any point - Heinze loves it too.  I wish the deer...

  • Journal Entry for March 13, 2008

    Thursday, March 13, 2008

I had two doctors’ appointments this week (Tuesday the 11th and Wednesday the 12th).
My doctor’s appointment on Tuesday was with a gastriologist in Toronto. I wasn't expecting to get too much out of the appointment because I have a fear of needles and she hasn't recommended any test that doesn't involve needles. We had talked about sedatives with her bu...

    Thursday, September 18, 2008 | A Positive story

As I watch our stock market tumbling I find myself feeling cynical, how did these folks get us IN to this mess!  I then remember one of the the coolest coolest things about my job....THE PEOPLE...I get inspired all over again and I have to think we will all be ok.  When I do talks in schools or community groups I tell kids about the long haul medicine entails&nb...

    Saturday, August 9, 2008

This was actually reported by a teacher.
After Christmas, a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their holiday away from school.
One child wrote the following: we always used to spend the holidays with grandma and grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house but grandpa got retarted and they moved to Florida. Now they live in a tin box and have rocks painted green to look like grass. Th...

  • The Long Awaited Tummy Pictures ~ and ~ The Princess Leaves the Surgery Center! The Princess Leaves the Surgery Center! ~ Day 1 Complete and Going Home (NOT)
Being on a gurney and feeling a tight pressure from my waist to my buttocks was my first recollection that the surgery had been completed. Yes, I looked down, and my tummy appeared pretty flat compared to the tummy that had entered the surgi...

  • SEE YA LATER ED... I'M A BIG, BAD, BIKER BROAD NOW!

    Monday, July 20, 2009 | A Happy story

If Nadia can jump out of an airplane, then sure as shit I should be able to ride on the back of a motorcycle. It’s kind of the same thing, no? I mean, for one you're travelling in a vertical direction, the other horizontally. And on a motorcycle you don’t have a parachute... but then again you’re only moving half as fast! Not that I understand terminal velocit...
