I am currently a size 18..When I started losing weight and trying to get fit I was a size 26. I don't want to be super skinny..Just in better shape. A size 11 would be nice don't you think?

For the most part I have changed my diet a little bit. Not eating as much and eating better. I work out three times a week and walk nightly.

At my heaviest weight I was a size 32, I've been wearing 16's, but honestly think I'm about at a 14 now, my clothes are getting lose. I lost like 80 in one jaunt, then maintained for a while then lost another 60, then gained back about 10, and now I've lost those ten plus another 10. I'm at a loss of almost 150 lbs right now and still going. I've noticed the closer I get to my goal the slower the weight comes off even though I work so much harder. one thing I've noticed is working out is huge in the sense that two twin sisters can both weigh 200 but if one works out she might have 10 lbs of muscle that the other one doesn't have the body shape is totally different. When I was just maintaining my weight, my inches in my waist went up because I wasn't working out as much and even though I weighed the same I look better in general when I'm exercising regularly. I've never been thin, so I don't even really know what that looks like, what size, or what weight. I know what of my coworks is a 12 and my butt is still twice as big as hers and I'm a 14? lol, bodies are weird. You'll just to decide when you get there. a size 11 probably looks great on a tall 5'10" girl, but not so hot on a shorter 4'8" girl. I always thought I'd be exceedingly happy at 12, but the closer I get the more I think that a size 8 or 10 will be good for me. But since I don't have a goal size or weight really. I plan to just keep on going until I find a point that feels good. Good luck to you Brooke. I have no doubt that you'll be successful. :)

My trainer tells me that at 5 foot you should be 100 lbs and for each inch another 5 lbs..so at 5 5 I should be 125..I would be happy with 140 150

Better to judge by how you feel. You can eat better, cut down on portion sizes, and exercise with the result being you weigh the same but are alot smaller.
Muscle takes up 1/3 the space as fat. Muscle is denser so a cup of muscle far outweighs a cup of fat. Make permanent changes. Cut out the bad foods, not just till you lose some weight but permanently. You don't have to cut out soft drinks for the rest of your life, you can have the odd one. The same goes for a bag or chips or some fries, but just keep them to the odd treat.. See if you can increase the weight training as muscle mass is what burns the calories for you.

Hi Brooke,
Your post caught my eye because I'm a custom fabric dyer so I deal with fashion a lot. Size 11 is a Junior size. You can be a 10 or a 12, but as if you have curves you're not going to fit an 11. The odd sizes are for teens who haven't developed yet.

Awe sweetheart you need to get a different trainer because the one you have is ignorant!!!!! That just gets me so upset someone would even tell you what weight you should be! Im so sorry but the good news is that they are WRONG!!!! lol Remember!!! Weight is just a number! please keep that in mind. now the next thing to keep in mind is that everyone is different, everyone caries weight differently so for anyone to put anthing in a range that strict is ridiculous! I don't like diets!!! But I do like a way of life I think I have posted this to you but if not check out the zone. Its a great way to live and has an amazing impact on health and wellness and that is what is important first and for most! google zone recipes and you will get like 745 recipes which rocks. my friends and I have decided to start a blog about it so if you areinterested just let me know and ill give you the blog spot.. cool? I also keep up the workout and the walking. Right now you want to lose so up your cardio! if you walk on a treadmill put a little incline on it biking is good to either outside or on a stationary I personally like the row machine. In order to lose weight you have to hit that cardio.. so cardio cardio cardio!!!!! :) Good Luck and please keep me posted!!!! AND GET A NEW TRAINER!!!!

I am so late on this but I am literally in the same boat as you. I am a size 18 and want to be a size 10 or 11. I have gained and lost weight so many times, it has probably equaled to the weight of a class of 2nd graders. Good luck and if you need a diet buddy let me know!!

I'm between a 18 and 20 which makes he incrediably difficult to find pants. I'm also blessed with a, well abnormally sized bum, which is also annoying lol. My goal sie 12. I think it's really great that you what to be heathy and in shape rather then just "skinny" which really isn't realistic for every body type, I've come to realize it's not for mine. I think my new goal is the same, just be heathy, active and fit. :) Good luck with your goals, I'm sure you can do it.
