I'm really bummed out about the physical changes, like weight gain that have been happening for 4 yrs now! I"m 48 and seem to keep gaining a few lbs which has added up to at least 15 I want to lose. I have really seen in the past 4 yrs or less the changing in something in my body, and I hate it! I eat too good, but did keep a food journal for a few days, in the past and didn't go over 1400 cal. I exercise, moderately mostly, sometimes harder.

Sometimes a gym will offer members a free session or two with a trainer as an incentive to join or as an annual benefit - so it's possible to be cost-effective. There are also gyms that specialize in women and women's fitness issues, so another factor to consider.

getting older sux BUT you can beat those "middle age blues". I, myself have hit those middle age blues and gained 10 lbs on a very small frame within 6 months. However, with dedication and a great total body product combined with moderate exercise, I have lost 16lbs and now my dr. says I need to gain back the remaining 6!!!HA!!! fat chance doc! Feeling better than ever and even got carded at a bar the other night!!! let me know if you would like more "advice" from someone who knows exactly what you're going through!!! love and good thoughts! Good for you mstiff09!
- eh, so there are some things about aging that suck, but truthfully? 10) I know who the heck I am 9) I RECOGNIZE my mistakes when I make them again 8) My body has changed so much over the years that I'm used to being adaptable 7) I don't have to worry about hair care products anymore 6) The clothes I wore as a young man are now a really hip Halloween costume 5) I am actually able to think with the head on my shoulders now 4) Everything goes with gray 3) Wrinkles hide the skin blemishes, gives my face "character" 2) The noises my body makes are quite entertaining (some nights it's practically a concerto) 1) It beats the alternative :)

I like to get workout dvds from Netflix, so I can get a different one every week and really change up my workout.
