currently i am undergonig a treatment that does not allow me to push myself at the gym. in less than 6 monthstime i can start pushing myself to the fullest and i am wondering something... when you work out lighter how does one keep themselves motivated to continue? also should i be practicing form a lot right now?

You should ask your doctor what you can and can't do. If you can exercise at a light level, stick to walking or swimming. Always practice good form, whether that be with weight training, walking, etc. As for keeping motivated, those 6 months will pass no matter what. And you will either be more fit or much less fit by then and may have to undergo an even slower recovery if you don't do anything at all. You have to make a choice about which one you want and think of it that way. Again stick to your doctor's recommendations.
