" What about standing lunges and single leg dead lifts?
Also superman and side planks.
There are plenty of exercises you could do. "

" If you're looking to lose fat off your thighs, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) on a treadmill will do that like nothing else. Actually, any form of running or jogging is great for fat loss. I have problems with my thighs and butt too and nothing has EVER EVER been as effective for my lower body as running. Here's a link to a website that will explain HIIT for you. You can also look up more infor online. http://www.treadmilluse.com/HIIT_t...

If you're looking for toning these areas then you're on the right track. Squats, lunges, reverse lunges and tall box step ups are great for reshaping the lower body. Don't go heavy with the weights, that will only cause muscle growth which initially makes your legs thicker. Lighter weights will help tone and lean out the legs.

If you read fitness magazines look into getting copies of Oxygen magazines special collectors editions that focus on fat loss and glutes. You can find it on http://www.treadmilluse.com/HIIT_t... Look at the bottom of the home page.

I promise I'm not a sales person but I love Oxygen. They have great articles on very effective moves for every body part.

Good Luck! "

" If you're trying to lose body fat in those areas, you can't spot reduce. Body will come off in the opposite order it went on. So if the fat on your thighs and butt have been there the longest, as it has for most females, it will take the longest to come off.

Lena, I have to disagree about using light weights. If you're not challenging yourself, you'll get little to nothing out of lifting weights. I'm not saying lift like an Olympic weight lifter, but you should pick a weight that challenges you for whatever rep range you choose and when that is no longer challenging, increase the weight.

While heavier weights build muscle, muscle burns more calories as rest than fat does. It also takes us less space for the same amount of weight. So you could very easily weigh more than you do now but be smaller and look like you weigh less.

All that being said, http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Director... is a great source f tons of exercises. "
