Hi everyone, was wondering your thoughts on kickboxing, power kickboxing, boxing, martial arts, group classes or individual one on one's. I'm looking for a cardio workout that let's of steam.. and i've never looked into it before... kick boxing seems the way to go. Problem is i'm not sure about group classes at gyms, they often bore me so any words of advice for things that have or haven't worked for you... i'm sure the workout is there i'm looking more for the enjoyment factor!
thanks

" I'm normally the same way about group classes at the gym (hate them!), but I did a cardio kickboxing class for a while a couple of years ago and LOVED it. It was an intense workout, and definitely helped with strength (especially lower body) as well as cardio. The only reason I stopped was because I moved and my new gym did not offer a similar class. "

" I love when my trainer and I do boxing as a work out, I recently took her "ring side boxing class, and LOVED it, I have not yet taken a kick boxing class only due to schedule issues, I love the core/cardio/and stress releiving involved in a boxing workout!!!! "

" I am a HUGE fan of kickboxing. I never get bored in this class. I have had several types of instructors and they all pretty much do the same thing. The key is intervals. It's a great way to keep your body guessing if you have a good instructor. "

" I recently have been going to a Mixed Martial Arts Studio and we do Muay Thai boxing. It's like kickboxing but works the whole body. The classes are awesome and very tough. Keeps me on my toes. "
