Discussion:
Does Kickboxing tone you up?

I've been doing kickboxing since March. Not cardio kickboxing, martial art kickboxing. I've lost 40 pounds since then. I'm just wondering besides buring calories, does it also tone you up as well? I'm very heavy so I can't see the weight loss yet. I only know by the scale, pants getting bigger, and compliments. So I don't know if I'm toning up, I just know I'm losing. Should I be doing workouts on my days off so I get toned? Or will kickboxing do it. I'm just concerned because when I lose weight, I want to make sure that my shape (tones butt, stomach smaller, fat under the arms gone, etc.) has changed too, I don't want to be just a smaller version of my shape now...
