If you like to do cardio but you want to mix it up a bit I most definitely DEFINITELY recommend TurboJam. The trainer's name is Chalene Johnson, you can find her on beachbody.com. She is absolutely amazing and phenomenal, I cannot rave about her enough. She does TurboJam, TurboFire, and Chalene Extreme. At least, those are the three we have at home. TurboJam was her first series. It's a kickboxing/aerobic workout that involves a regular workout with a minute and a half of "Turbo" which is a minute of a half of pushing yourself to your breaking point without stopping. TurboFire is after TurboJam. So many of the people who did TurboJam liked the turbos so much that she did another series centered on them. It's high intensity interval training (HIIT) which are intervals of moderate activity and then intervals of high intensity turbo activity. It's INCREDIBLE. You feel so g.d. ALIVE and seriously wonder why you haven't been doing it longer. Chalene Extreme is her weight training circuit. Remember, weight training builds muscle, burns fat, and speeds up your metabolism so that you burn more fat when you're NOT working out. What's awesome about these routines is that when you get the TurboFire and Chalene Extreme the TurboFire routine comes with a hybrid schedule that combines the TurboFire and Chalene Extreme workouts. One of the things I love is that she always has someone doing a low intensity version of the workout so in case you can't do all of the jumping and whatnot, there is an easier model to follow AND you're still burning a ton of calories and feeling incredible.

Look, I know I sound like an ad but let me tell you guys something. I used to weigh 310lbs and today I weigh 178 and that is ONLY because I have 20 - 30 lbs of excess skin that I need to get surgically removed. Exercise alone didn't make me lose it but without it I would still be a long way off. What I love about Chalene is that she is SO positive and she really makes me feel like even though I may not be able to do something today that if I keep working at it I AM going to do it and I am going to kick it's ASS.

SO, I highly recommend it!!
