Throwing my goals out there

Hi I'm Melissa, I'm 19 from LA, thought I'd throw a short introduction in there. I decided to get involved in a support group because I've never been able to get fitness accountability from anyone else, at least no one who stuck with it. It really helps me to have someone basically yell at me for not working out or eating bad haha ...so anyways my goals currently have been to get abs, which means REALLY watching what I eat. I have the biggest sweet tooth in the world so my urges to grab a snack are super hard to fight >< I've been good about working out, sometimes info twice a day. I eat regularly and healthy meals as much as I can. But I want to start cutting out unnecessary foods like sweets and all the bad carbs and fats. Part of what makes it hard is living with my parents, they always have sweets or fatty snacks here, and since I can't control what they buy it gets frustrating.
I love running, yoga, volleyball, and out of the specific muscle groups I love working the abdominals. I also do belly dancing every once and a while. Haven't in a while and that's another thing I want to get back into! When I was doing it regularly I lost so much weight! It's amazing haha so yea, that's me :) Posted on 08/02/12, 11:24 pm |

Welcome Melissa. Hello from another LA area native (Long Beach)
Sounds like you have an idea of what you need to do to reach your goals. Course easier said than done. Cutting sweets and carbs suck! lol Im dealing with that myself. Good luck on your goals!

Sounds like you have a good idea of what you want. The biggest part is keeping to your plans and goals. It is not easy with temptation but can be done. Make sure that you have plenty of you own sweet but good for you food such as fresh fruits. Many people see any carbs as bad especially ones from fruit but your body needs these as fuel. Just be choosy as to what you are putting into your body. Good luck it took me awhile to get there but I have lost 25 lbs and counting now and haven't even started my workouts yet.
