Starting a journey

I'm starting my journey today. I'm 100lbs over weight. I'm not a stranger to fitness, I was a swimmer and a gymnast and I worked out for years constantly! Loved it. When I had my son though, it was very easy to get out of the grove and I was young, so I didn't just "get fat". I'm 37 now.

It took me about 15 years to get here.

I decided that by next year I want to join a fitness competition. I have no clue how to even get started with this.

I have in the last couple of years gone back to the gym and I take step classes and kick boxing classes. I haven't changed my diet much so I havent really seen the results I should, but do feel better and no matter what I go wkout 3x's a week.

I need suggestions work outs and ways to get into working out in the mornings. I'm a morning person, but I get so nauseous when I exercise in the AM.

Thnks!

" If you can find a work out buddy, that is the BEST motivation for working out. I used to work out with a coworker at 0530 before work,,, even when I was dead tired I got up because I knew she would kill me if I didn't show. We never exchanged phone numbers, that way we could not call and cancel! What area are you in? I want to get back to morning workouts, those are the ones that keep me on track but it is hard to get in the routine.
Also, try a protein bar or something light before working out to settle your stomach. "

" I will try the protein bar! I've found the opposite to be true with workout partners. I was working out with friends, that's how I got back into working out, but they never wanted to come or were always late, excuses, excuses BLAH BLAH BLAH. I just found it was easier for me to just do it on my own, I didn't have to wait on anyone that way. I did have a trainer for a little while, but that was so expensive! To bad too, cause that was a great tool for me!

I guess if I could find someone that was really serious about it, maybe that would be the answer!

But thanks for the reply! "
