I lost my job too and was w/out money for over 2 months..no unemployment as I was an independant contractor.
It's so scary and I just eat mac & cheese & rice & bean stuff.
Scrounging money for this month's rent.
But I keep trying..that has to count for something.

I have not worked for 2 years. At first I thought I was going to die if I didn't have health insurance, no I am not sick. Then I thought we would be living on the streets..
we aren't.
Somehow God provides. We get our utilities discounted 25%, get food from the food bank.
Walk instead of taking the car, I cut my husband and son's hair. And we do not eat out at all. It is amazing how much money you can save by just watching where your money goes.

Well, I have given this idea to few people including me who have a part time job but never know what comes next. So, I have started selling scentsy candles. It's not for everyone, but it can help you at least survive if you are doing it part time. If you are into selling maybe you can check out the opportunity, which one day may become your full-time business. That's how I see it for me one day becoming my own boss.
