Has anyone had any sharp pain associated w/ F.D.?

For the last few years I have gradually had sharp stabbing pain shoot down my right arm. There would be time the pain would rest in my elbow.Sometimes my right hand would shake. All of this ofcourse eventually lend me to the doctor, who then sent me for an X-ray then to an MRI when I was then diagnosed w/ F.D. in the right humerus last November. According to my doctor the pain I am describing is not the pain patients w/ F.D. complain of. He assumed my sharp stabbing pain was inflamation and told me to take ibeprofen for three days. But six months after my diagnoses and taking another rx (lyrica) I still have the pain, almost everyday.Occasionally I get a dull throbbing pain in my right arm,but mostly it's sharp constant shooting pain down my arm. If i'm typing or writting it's enough to make me have to stop. So, I was wondering if anyone has had this problem? I plan on seeing another doctor for a 2nd opinion because when I talk to my doctor abou this pain all he can say is he doesn't know and really doesn't seem like he wants to help me fix it. Sorry I've written so much! I'm just glad I found this site and any help is appreciated!

" i have pfd and have at it for 30 odd years,i have a shooting pain in my right arm also with pins and needles in my lower right arm,i had a mri on my shoulder and neck and found a few problems in my neck and shoulder,my neck was trapping a nerve so that it would shoot a sharp pain at the base of my neck and shoulder and also due to hairline crack in the top of my arm this was causing the pins and needles.treatment for me was physio for my shoulder and neck, excercises for both plus massage by my wife which helps a lot, also if you have a wheat sheaf [ the one you heat up in the microwave ] this helps as well.where are you based ?
