The List of Side effects is Quite Long...and Alot of people who have FM Also have Sensitivities to Many Meds..

They say this med is for Fibromyalgia...yet lists SLEEP Issues and Anxiety as Side effects...most of us WITH Fibromyalgia already have issues with sleep & Anxiety...don't want More of that !!

I'm glad this is working for you. But it has been out long enough for many to report in that it is just another drug to treat symptoms and not the cause, and like Lyrica, Cymbalta has many unwanted side effects that many can't tolerate asDakota mentioned.

i'd be satisfied with anything that made a significant difference with a few side effects...but that day hasn't come yet...

I am using Savella and the good that I receive far outweighs the bad. I've had less pain overall, not all is gone, but it's significantly better. Best of all...I have my mind back. The fogginess is much better...and I NEED my mind to continue working..it's helped with fatigue too. It might just be a bandaid, but what else do we have but bandaids at the moment. There are some side effects that go away in time, like the nausea and funky feeling you have when you start it. One that doesn't tend to go away is the hot flashes and just a generally higher body temperature than before. That is really all I have left. It's never bothered my sleep, in fact I sleep better because it helps the pain, and that is why I couldn't sleep well before. One issue that I did have....again with the hot flashes, is that my memory foam bed would hold heat after I was in it for while and I would get really hot at night. Never bothered me before the Savella. BUT....I found a way to deal with that. AND this pad would work for those that need more warmth and those that need cool. It is the Chili Pad and was created to address the issues of the "heat holding" properties of memory foam. It works by either cooling or heating water that flows through coils within the pad. You can adjust the temp from 46-108 degrees...I found that 60 degrees is about right for me. There are no wires or electricity in the pad, so none of the concern about magnetic fields, etc. Its really like a K-pad that we use in the hospital, except better. I'm sleeping better now than in years. I cover up with all my blankets like I like, but underneath me the pad keeps a steady temp so I don't get sweaty. It constantly adjusts the temp through the night to keep it just right. I love this thing! It is pricey at >$600 for a king-sized with dual controls....but, the best investment I've made in years to help me... and I've spent a lot of money through the years on things that didn't help. I found it at beyondbeds.com. Those folks are very nice to work with also. They called me within 15 min of placing my order and gave me the whole scoop on the pad and options on delivery. They didn't have it in stock at the time, but ordered it to be sent directly from China (my only issue with the pad) at their expense. This website also carries other items to make sleep more comfy.
