Hi everyone. I have been on cymbalta 10 days and I can't believe how much it helped my pain. I at least got a break from it. But I am having fluid retention in my face, stomach and back. I am going to see my doctor on tuesday. But I wondered if anyone else had that as a side effect and if so, did your doctor take you off. I wonder if there is anything similar to cymbalta that doesn't cause the swelling. Thank you so much. Donna

Hi Donna,
I take 30mg of Cymbalta daily and thank God for it everyday. It really helped. I can't say it caused swelling but I had swelling before hand with the Fibro so no I don't think Cymbalta has caused that for me. Although I am sure I put on a little weight with it but not sure b/c I go up and down the scale easily one year I am a size 10 and the next a 14 so can't be for sure the Cymbalta does it. I don't know what I would do if it wasn't for the Cymbalta. Marci

Oh I see, thanks so much Marci. I do see a huge difference on it and I thank
God for that too. But I definitely gained weight on it. And it seems it shifted to my stomach so bad I went up 2 pant sizes. But I wouldn't give it up thats for sure.

I have been on 60 mg for about 2 years and have had no swelling.
