Hi All

Recently Dr. Oz has recommended supplements of Ribos 500 Mg, 3x daily to help with energy levels and also can help with the pain of FMS.

Has anyone tried Ribos that has Fibro or CFS and if so has it been helpful in reducing pain, sorness, overall fatigue.

Also, has anyone experienced any side affects taking Ribos and if so at what dosage.

Thanks
Donna/NJ

" I just started on this a couple of weeks ago, and I can tell a big difference...I take one dose in the morning, and it keeps me going well into the afternoon. If I take any later in the day, I have insomnia. Definitely more energy and less fatigue. Don't see a huge difference in muscle pain....but I'll keep using it for sure.

HUGS from down south :) "

" Thanks Cajun! I've been taking 2 doses a day too and with the Whey Protein (chocolate) it takes just like a breakfast shake. I'm hoping against hope that this will work. My house needs to be cleaned! :O)
The only thing about it is when I drink the "shake", I'm not hungry for several hours and have had little to eat today. I could stand to loose a couple of lbs (ok 10) so maybe this is a good thing. "

" Hi..
I started taking 500mg once a day for the last 10 days. I have definately noticed a differance in my energy levels. On days when I want to go out to dinner or something with friends, i take a second dose around midday. It has helped with the energy. On the first day that I tool 2 doses, I did a get a differant type of headache, yet it passed within an hour so in the end, the energy was worth the headache. It has made a differance in that I am able to get some household chores complete.. wash and set hair, do laundry.. and sometimes... all in one day.. thats a big deal.. I started bikram yoga this past month and I have noticed that since taking the Ribose the classes are also improving... I know its still early because apparently it takes 3 weeks to show effects, however.. it has been one of the better supplements....
Butterfly hugs... "

" NJGirl, I talked with a lady at one of the companies who make D-Ribose and she said that diabetics can take this with permission from their doctor and to take it with food. It's a 5 carbon sugar, completely different than regular sugar (6 carbon). "

" Thanks for the info. I'm going to look into it. I'm not big on supplements that doc's haven't recommended, but I can't stand this fatigue! I have slept the last three days - partly side effect of methotrexate, but not entirely. Doesn't sound dangerous to mix with anything I already take. "
