Fibromyalgia Support Group

Hi,
I started taking Lyrica in August. So far it is working for me. My dr. started me out on 75 mg a day. I slowly moved up to 200mg per day. Since I've been on it, I haven't needed to take over the counter meds like ibuprofen or tylenol like I used to. There are days where I don't feel as well and do need some ibuprofen but it is like twice a month instead of everyday.

I do have some weight gain and swelling. I am willing to deal with it.
I have not noticed other symptoms like memory loss, fog, or depression but everyone is different on it.

Currently I am having a flare-up. It came out of no-where so I am bummed about it but I guess it's the nature of the beast. So it does help with pain, but does not seem to really prevent flare-ups. At least wtih me. ;)

I sort of wonder if it effects everyone so differently because of other meds they are on, or other external factors or they are allergic, etc.
I feel so bad for the people that have serious issues with it.

I hope that you do ok on it. If you do not like it, or you have issues, just wean off of it slowly.
