I have had this discussion numerous times on a different board (not a DS one) about the dangers of this vaccine. Most are blindly allowing their children to get this without even researching it. I also don't agree with govt mandated vaccines especially after doing some research and watching videos.

Can you tell me where the info is on the adverse reactions?

My 16 yr old daughter received the hpv vaccine in 8/07 she developed an onset of symptoms about 3 weeks after getting the first dose of the vaccine
the main complaints are

pain in lower extremities started in legs and has spread to hips low back and now mid back causing pain when taking a breath these symptoms have not improved but have gotten worse

swelling only when she lies down swelling occurs in her hands feet and now her face as well. swelling last for approx. 2 hours after getting up

pain and tingling, prickling sensation in her hands and feet till the swelling subsides

migraine headaches

dizziness

difficulty concentrating

She is not a lazy, overweight teenager suffering from severe depression as suggested by one physician. She is suffering from a sudden onset of severe pain, which weakens and fatigues her. Any depression is coming from not knowing what is wrong with her.

The past five months have completely changed her life and she is unable to participate in the activities she once enjoyed. I am fighting with the school because they want to place her on homebound due to the amount of school she has missed. I am afraid this would crush her since she has lost so much already
I am also looking for anyone who has experienced similar symptoms since receiving the vaccine

I have taken her to numerous doctors and so far have gotten no relief for her symptoms.

I am having a difficult time due to her age pediatricians do not want to treat her for chronic pain and pain management clinics do not want to treat her due to her not being 18 or over

any suggestions are welcome

My daughter was going to get this shot, actually I talked her out of it...still very new, and I did not like the reactions I was hearing about...

I'm so glad you posted this! I have a 19 year old daughter and I was thinking of suggesting she get this shot. Now I'll be sure and tell her NOT to get it! Thank you for the info.

There was a physician on Oprah talking about this very issue. She stated clearly, that there are numerous strains of the virus, therefore, no vaccine is guaranteed against them all.
Not only that, but things like that get marketed so heavily that people feel compelled to rush into it without thinking.
I agree, research is the key for sure!

There are also studies that strongly suggest that vaccines given to children that contain thimerisol, have been strongly linked with the children getting autism. (which the gvt denies, your not surprised about that are ya?)

There are also documents that the gvt knew of this possible contraindication but did NOT take thimerisol out of the vaccine. This is not related to HPV of course, but again, it points to research that must be done on the part of the patient.

My neice has been nothing but sick I wonder if that is why? She had this shot last summer and she has catch everything that comes her way.

Vonny, this is a vaccine that is supposed to prevent 4 types of the virus that causes HPV, which causes genital warts, and can cause cervical cancer. It is being very strongly pushed to be given to all young females in this country between the ages of (I believe ) nine and 26 years of age. My 23 year old did not want to take it, she didn't see any need for it, she and Joe have been together for almost 5 years, so she's not in a situation where she is going to possibly be exposed. When she went for her pap and refills on her birth control, they insisted she take it, when she kept saying she didn't need it, they got very snotty with her and told her she couldn't have her birth control refilled until she either took it or signed a paper saying she refused it against medical advice. That scared her, so she took the first injection, and has now had the second. She has been having the exact symptoms tne33 is describing about her daughter having....I hadn't made the connection! Meg has been having a lot of symptoms of fibro for a year or so, I'm sure she has FMS, but she doesn't have insurance, so hasn't been dxd. I just keep thinking, fibro, whenever she complains about things, 'cause she's always been so healthy. And lately, I've noticed the difficulty concentrating, she does the same things I do, uses the wrong word, suddenly can't spell, etc., so I'm thinking brain fog..she HAS to get this checked out!! ps...I'd like to know why this is being so strongly pushed down the throats of the young women and the parents of young girls? There must be money involved somehow...I don't mean for the drug compay, but for the government!

WOW! These new vaccines they are coming out with need to be studied alot more before being pushed on our young ladies!

i knew there was going to be trouble with this vaccine when i saw the commericial.. good lord i cant believe that ladybug.. its like they made her take this shot.. they is not legal if you ask me.. I dont even get the flu shot.. and they try to push me to do so.. ahhhh not... that is my decision.. im diabetic and I just would rather take my chances.. If I get the flu and dont make.. that is gods will. This country has become about making money and we are the guinea pigs.. so be careful... terrible thing.. my best to everyone .. :)
