Whoever posted must be reading my mind, because I have been watching the "E" special on him crying my eyes out. First of all, he was an incredible beautiful black child and adult, so I am not sure why he changed his looks. Maybe it was a form of hiding. Second, I feel personally he was THE MOST TALENTED POP STAR AND PURPOSE STAR PERIOD WE HAVE EVER HAD. They will sell 70,000 tickets to his memorial, but I am sure there will be over 100,000 fans.

I personally feel, he was SO special, that it alienated him. And when he became ALONE, that is when the isolation, the drugs set in...We all need love and tons of support around us. And especially stars, they get these "people" that pretend to love them, but they want to use them. Like Anna Nicole Smith, and Elvis, but Anna Nicole was a smaller level. But no one really really was there for them. Michael had a family, where were they? Why did they not take a more active role, I am sure they noted him changing....

Now he is a fixation... but a talent, yes he was, and a very lonely sad man. I just cant help cry for him. Raindrop

" Raindrop, I watched a special on MJ last night on Dateline. I had it recorded, so it could have been from a few days before last night. This was about his interview in 2003 I believe. One of the most candid interviews he ever gave.
He HATED his father. His father put him down constantly. About his dancing, his nose, how ugly he was. That is what my mother did to me while my stepfather molested me at night. You grow up to have a very LOW self esteem with that going on in your ears 24/7. Joe Jackson deserves to be put behind bars.
I believe he was ostracized by many of his brothers and at least one of his sisters for speaking out against his father. I think that's where his family was.
MJ LOVED kids. He didn't want his children to have the same upbringing as he did and may have overcompensated for that. I honestly don't think he was a child molester; and trust me being a molest survivor, I do NOT believe in protecting the guilty child molester. I don't know what happened with those two young men, but the second recanted his story. I think it was greedy PARENTS that saw an opportunity to extort money.
When that story broke out, it broke MJ's heart beyond repair. He LIVED for giving children happiness! He was no child molester! As for drugs, I can see that. You know that peaceful twilight sleep you're in when you have surgery? That's a really NICE feeling for some people. I know that I've always looked forward to that when I've had surgery.
The problem with MJ is he didn't have to have surgery to get that feeling. Which makes me wonder....Did he have so many surgeries to get that peaceful feeling and when he was told that he could no longer have surgery on his nose, that's when he started to buy the meds?
Just putting my thoughts down on paper.
I'm not an obsessed Michael Jackson fan, but I did enjoy listening to his music. His dancing was something that at 50 years old, I never could have performed! I'm tired of seeing everything MJ on TV right now, but give the man his dues. He loved children, wanted to give them a better life and when "they" took that away from him, he turned to drugs. IMHO "

" I too, believe that Michael was an extremely talented person.

However, in reference to the Memorial Service for him, I have heard on the t.v. that they will allow 17,500 fans free tickets. The fans must have emailed their request by 6:00 p.m. today, and the "lottery drawing" for the 17,500 tickets with wristbands will be drawn tomorrow. The City officials are requesting the remaining fans to stay out of the designated areas of the Memorial services, as the State is broke and cannot deal with the tremendous crowd control.

They also mentioned that over 5 million people had emailed there request for tickets the first day offered -- so many requests, that it caused the computers to go down a couple of times. Obviously, there would not be enough room for all of his fans to attend the Memorial. "

" It's all very sad. He was never allowed to have a real childhood so lived it out through his adulthood. I really believe he loved children but had no idea how to relate to them as an adult with adult feelings and urges.

I don't know, any more than anyone else, what transpired with those kids he was supposed to have "molested." It was definitely not proper, as it IS documented he gave them alcohol, but their parents were people looking for a paycheck and as far as I'm concerned they pimped out their children.

He was, even at age 50, a troubled child, but no one would help him because that might slow down the gravy train they were all riding. His "friends," his parents, the parents of the children who came to Neverland Ranch, there is so much blame to go around that it will never all be placed or even identified.

It's just horribly sad. He was a beautiful child and what must have happened to him to make him believe he had to continue to mutilate his face is probably beyond most people' comprehension.

He was a talent beyond compare and he never found peace here - I hope he is at peace now. "

" He was a sweet loving man. I think it's absoulty awful what the media and the greedy people did to tarnish his reputation. He had a pure and innocent heart that adored children and the world. Now he can finally rest in peace. "

" I worry about the children - what's going to happen to them without him? The media made such a sideshow of his life and family - I hope they leave the kids alone. "
