Upon returning to my office today I found a box on my desk. I quickly opened it to see what was inside. We deal with conierge from a lot of hotel here locally and other states.
I had helped this real nice conceirge from another property book show tickets for her guest. She was very pleasant and I asked her if her guest also needed to book restuarant reservations and she declined that offer. I said my closing speil. and went on to take the next call. Well that nice lady sent me a very beautiful gift basket full of all sorts of goodies. When I read the enclosed card I was smiling ear to ear. I then called the property where she works to see if she was at work yet,and she was I thanked her very whole heartly for making my day. She said that she appreciated the acceptional service that I have provided for her and her guest and it was her way of thanking me. That is a huge thing here in my city when a concierge from another property sends you a gift basket for just doing my job. I must say that we do pride our selves with providing the best customer service in this industry. So I am taking a very humble bow.. Just wanted to share that with you:) Posted on 12/12/09, 09:53 pm |

and for those of you that do not know what a concierge is or does the following will answer that question.
concierge in a large hotel, casino, or resort acts as a "personal assistant" to the patrons of the establishment. He or she is the person guests go to when they need help making restaurant reservations, finding the right local attractions, or buying tickets for theater, sporting, and other events. Depending on the establishment, a concierge will either make the reservations and procure the tickets or make recommendations and offer suggestions on the best way for patrons to satisfy their needs. Out-of-town hotel, casino, and resort guests typically have many questions when they travel, and it is up to the concierge to know the answers. A concierge must be familiar with the area's tourist spots, must be able to provide accurate directions to guests' destinations, and must have a good working relationship with the managers of nearby restaurants, theaters, and other attractions to get the best seats for patrons. Above all a concierge needs to make a good impression on guests by always being friendly, helpful, and well groomed.
