This link is the very latest study done by a French doctor, who wanted to find out what is causing our symptoms. Here is the link.

" Thank You for sharing. I think more proof is going to be coming out soon. Right now most of the studies with the XMRV virus have been with ME/CFS they have found it in people with fibro.

It would be interesting to know if this is a seperate cause of fibro or a result of the XMRV virus. "

" Thanks for sharing this. It goes along with some of the research as to what causes us to get fibro fog and the headaches as well. "

" I had a brain MRI done a couple months back and the doc was looking for signs of MS. I just emailed him and gave him this website and asked if he could see anything different in the areas they talked about. I'll let you know if he says yes. Don't know if an MRI would show anything though but I figured it was worth a try. "

" Thanks for sharing the info. I have heard this before about the blood flow. I think the only way they are going to know for sure allot of these things is to make these tests part of the over all testing that is done when giving a diagnoses. Same with the XMRV virus. If you have a handful of people who show positive results and a handful that do not then you still have questions.
I did have a dye ct scan of my brain will have to see what was found in that and will share that with ya all when I can find out. It was requested by my rhuemy doc. a couple years back who is a FM specialist.

Take care gentle hugs "

" I'm going to assume it's the ignorance of the writer and not the doctors that caused them to write incorrect information about why fibromyalgia is a "syndrome."

A syndrome is defined as a condition that manifests with a wide variety of symptoms, all of which will not be present in any one patient. It's a spectrum - from mild to severe, with many different parts. It has nothing whatsoever to do with knowing the cause.

I'm not sure where that came from - I hear it a lot - but nobody doubts that "Down Syndrome" is "real" (the "real" thing makes me see red) because it's a syndrome. There are many other syndromes - mostly genetic conditions - and the classification as a syndrome has absolutely nothing to do with it's "reality" or the cause.

I didn't see a date on this study - not sure whether this is one of the ones we've heard about previously but I do know most research these days is in the areas of the brain and CNS. "

" Actually I find that quite interesting. It is good information but personally I believe in the XMRV findings and the French doc has found yet another symptom causing many of our symptoms. We shall see. Thanks for sharing. I book marked it to read it all later.

Less pain and more energy to us all!

Sherry "
