Stopping Cymbalta

I would like to know if anyone has been on Cymbalta and decided to stop taking it. I felt it wasn't making me feel any better and it might be causing me constipation. I went off of it gradually and it was really rough. Now I'm wondering if it was actually helping me. I feel very light headed and weak . I'm begining to think it really did help. I'm not sure if I want to start taking it again or not. I do have an appointment with an ear nose and throat Dr. to be sure the lightheadedness is not coming from somethingelse. Would appreciate any input. Thanks

" Go and and Get a Full Physical done up...including Blood work...urinalyses...the Works..

I have No idea all the Withdrawals off Meds...I get lightheaded from time to time, and I am on no Meds...I think I forget to Hydrate enuff...or perhaps my Sugars drop a tad low...cuz Once I Drink some Tea with Honey I Feel OK once again...just not sure what is causing it..I figure the Tea with Honey is going to Both Hydrate me, and take care the occasional Low Sugar I get from time to time..or if ur Not a tea drinker...try some simple 100 percent juices...Clear, {Like Apple, Cranberry...whatever you like} to See if that Helps you..

I do Hope you get fully Checked, that they find Nothing Wrong, and that it is a fairly Simple fix...

take care... "

" Cymbalta made me super weird. It increased anxiety and depression in me instead of helping it. no help for pain either. "

" I took cymbalta and I dunno what help it was giving me. I was on other psyc med as well. But I was very stable emotionally and plan to go back on it once I have this baby. As for helping my fibro... I honestly didnt notice a big differance. Im going to really pay attention when I start my meds back to see if I have relief in my fibro.

On the other hand I hear how so many have had problems going off the med. I stoped cold turkey per docs ok and didnt notice a thing. no bad affects or anything so I dunno "

" I was on celexa- killed my libido, was on Lyrica and that was really rough but when I got off of it I was worse for a couple of weeks and realized it had given me some energy and I was a little better in some ways- am now on Cymbalta- two weeks in- and I was starting to think it wasn't making things better- because I've had a few really bad days- but the last three days have been pretty good- So- I don't know- I kind of feel like the meds don't help sometimes- but then when I'm off I see that they did help in some ways- I think no matter what you're on you're going to have good and bad days. " I know everyone sometimes reacts differently to meds, and I usually have bad side effects from them. Thanks for all your replies. I'm tempted to start taking Cymbalta again to see if I feel any better, but am afraid if I feel no relief then I'll have to go through that withdrawal again. I "m going to pray on it. Thank you again. "
